
WHO ARE WE?
The Tasman Young Farmers region is one of 7 Young Farmer Regions located across New Zealand. Tasman is a strong region with over 500 members which consist of school aged students (TeenAg) and Young Farmer members.
WHY DO WE EXIST?
As a region, our focus is to provide maximum benefit and value to both our members and the community.
The Regional Executive believe it’s our responsibility to ensure the future of our industry by helping to develop the leaders of the future.
We have identified three key reasons why members join Young Farmer clubs, and have focused our annual events around these:
Social

- These members join Young Farmers primarily to meet new people and make friends
- Main event – Regional weekend In central location for all clubs
- Additional events – networking and social outing after most other events
- These members join Young Farmers to develop hands on practical skills whilst having a good time doing so
- Main event – district and regional FMG Young Farmer of the Year contests and skills weekend
- Additional event - competitions weekend
- These members join Young Farmers to learn and develop their leadership and technical skills, and are often found on any of the club exec teams.
- Main event – professional leadership training evening
- Additional event - chairman catch-up's
